Like any other electric motor the prime mover of a pumping unit must be operated at rated voltage and frequency. The Leutert Power Current Transducer PCT measures voltage and takes single-phase and three-phase motor power measurements both in real time and over an extended time period. Measured values are transferred directly to a PC via Bluetooth.
Knowing above mentioned values allow the DYN 17 software to determine electrical costs and provide information on gearbox torque. On the bases of which the DYN 17 software makes recommendations on how to position the counterweights to balance the pumping unit.
The PCT also measures current. Motor overload can then be calculated by comparing the actual motor current to the rated full load current. The software will give recommendations on minimum motor size.
